Tips to Prevent Muscle Cramps
Sunday, June 8th, 2008Although the cause of muscle cramps remains unclear, many trainers or athletes experience them at one time or another. Some believe cramps occur as a result of dehydration and electrolyte imbalance or fatigue. When you experience a cramp, stop exercising and gently stretch the muscle until the pain subsides. Whatever the cause may be, here are some tips to help you avoid muscles cramps in the future:
-Warm up for five to 10 minutes before every workout.
-Be sure to gently stretch both during and after exercise.
-Make sure you stay hydrated at all times with water.
-Build strength and endurance gradually, don’t rush it.
